‘Star Wars: Battlefront’ Beta Update: Cap is Only Until Level 5, Players Can't Move to Higher Levels; File Size, Pre-Load & Other Details Here

On Monday, Electronics Arts has revealed a handful of details for the upcoming beta of "Star Wars: Battlefront." The game's new information includes details on the level cap, beta file size, pre-loading and more.

This recent announcement from both EA and DICE has sparked excitement among players and avid fans. Players, for instance, will now be able to know the in-game contents of the beta ahead of the official launch, a report from Gamespot said.

According to the report, the game's beta file size is 7 GB for both Xbox One and PS4, while the PC version is estimated to be 11 GB. Aside from this, it was emphasized that pre-loading is only supported exclusively for PC. PC owners can pre-load the game's beta via "Origin," which will commence on Oct. 7, Wednesday, 1 a.m, PDT/4 a.am. EDT/ 9 a.m. UK time, since the download size is larger.

The developer has also confirmed that the game's beta will allow players' characters to advance until level 5. However, once players reach the cap, they won't be able to progress to higher levels but they could still unlock additional items. Also, any progress made by players in the beta will not be carried over to the game's full release. The company has yet to announce the level cap the "Star Wars: Battlefront."

"Three modes will be made available during the Beta which include Walker Assault on Hoth, Drop Zone on Sullust, and Survival Mission on Tatooine. The three different modes offers different gameplay element for players to try out. Walker Assault on Hoth is a large 40-player battle between the Rebel forces and the Imperial army. Drop Zone on Sullust offers an eight-on-eight matchup battle, while Survival on Tatooine is a single player or co-op mission survival mode pitting players in a battle to survive against an imperial onslaught," MNR Daily said, describing the various  modes for the upcoming beta of "Star Wars: Battlefront."

It was said that the game's online multiplayer beta will be released on Oct. 8 to 12. EA says that it will be open to all players and they can participate even without pre-ordering "Star Wars: Battlefront." The game will be officially launched on Nov. 17, and the company will release a related DLC for the game.
