Celebrity Real Estate: Jonathan ‘Dracula’ Rhys Meyers Selling Modest but Dreamy Laurel Canyon Home

Actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers, who has played Elvis, King Henry VIII, and Dracula, is selling his modest and dreamy modern home in the Laurel Canyon area of Los Angeles for $1.55 million. By Hollywood standards, the two-bedroom home isn't huge, but the open concept design makes the 1,565-square-foot pad seem much larger.

According to Realtor, the sleek and modern kitchen of the house features gray countertops, elegant pendant lighting, and stainless steel appliances. The master suite has a unique angled ceiling. The master bath features gorgeous teal-blue tiles which make the spa tub look more appealing.

The property has a mature landscape with bamboo that surrounds the home and in-ground pool.

While the actor may be moving out from his home, he doesn't seem to move out from Hollywood. Meyers recently starred in "London Town'' and will appear in the remake of "Roots.'' The actor will also play in the upcoming series "Shambhala.''

The "Dracula'' star Jonathan Rhys Myers is bidding goodbye to his modest and dreamy home in Laurel Canyon in Los Angeles.

Built in 1961, the 1,656-square-foot home which has two bedrooms and two baths is a contemporary masterpiece straight out of midcentury California. The property is beautifully elevated above the road and features a lush landscape that surrounds the beautiful home. In 2006, the home was featured in the LA Times that described the place as "a series of free-flowing spaces.''

Trulia said the house features hardwood floors. The master suite also has spacious walk-in closet to store Meyers' costumes from his roles in shows such as The Tudors. The Roman-style soaking tub in the master bathroom looks elegant and so with white oak kitchen cabinetry which provides a comfortable and aesthetic setting.

The actor will appear in the big screen in Stonewall, a drama about a fictional young man caught up during the 1969 Stonewall gay-rights riots which hits theaters on Sept. 25.
