"Outlander" Season 2 will be covering Diana Gabaldon's book number two, "Dragonfly in Amber." While the cast and crew are currently filming scenes for the upcoming season with new characters being introduced into the picture, showrunner Ron Moore admitted that a potential spin-off featuring Lord John Grey was considered.

"It's in the back of our minds as a potential thing. But right now out minds are pretty firmly set on just delivering the second season. We'll see what happens down the line on Lord Grey," Moore told Digital Spy, according to Enstarz.

Lord John Grey is set to debut in "Outlander" Season 2, as he comes across Jamie and Claire in Scotland. Meanwhile, Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe talked about one of the most controversial scenes in the show - the spanking scene between Jamie and Claire, Scotland Now reported.

Balfe admitted that her character had no idea about the consequences that her return would bring to the Highlanders and compared the spanking scene to that of a parent scolding his or her child.

"Sometimes when you're scared or when you've been hurt, you don't know what to do with all of this emotion, so you just lash out," Balfe said.

Heughan, on the other hand, admitted that he and Balfe "really relished that scene."

"It was kind of the first time I really got to do some gritty acting, and it was great. We sort of tore it out of each other," Heughan recounted.
