Giada De Laurentiis Divorce: De Laurentiis’ Ex-Husband Blackmailing Her? Celebrity Chef’s Alleged Affair with Bobby is About to Explode

Giada De Laurentiis' divorce with her husband of 11 years, Todd Thompson, has already been finalized. However, although the world's celebrity chef is now newly single, the rumors linking her to Bobby Flay aren't over yet. It was said that De Laurentiis' ex-husband is blackmailing her, and he vows to keep mum on her alleged affair with Bobby Flay if she gives him a big amount of money.

With De Laurentiis' divorce with Thompson, many are raising eyebrows on why she has to give a large part of her earnings to him. It reportedly seems that there's another reason, besides the fact that they don't have a pre-nup, according to gossip site Starcasm via Movie News Guide. According to the site, the Food Network star's ex knows everything about her alleged affair, and for him to keep the secret, she has to pay him a huge sum of money.

De Laurentiis paying her former husband a substantial amount of money for the divorce seems a bit absurd, according to new reports. Unfortunately, she has to pay her ex, $9,000 a month for child support. Not only that, she has to give him 50 percent royalties of her yet-to-be published cookbooks, including "Giada's Feel Good Food" for $2.3 million, "Everyday Pasta" for $757,000 and "Weeknights with Giada" for $2.5 million, E! News reports.

De Laurentiis' divorce papers also state that she has to give Thompson the $3.2 million property in Pacific Palisades, California since they have no pre-nuptial agreement, People reports. He also gets to keep the $300,000 worth of art and furnishings and his membership to the Bel-Air Bay Club. Aside from that, they have to split their money from numerous bank accounts, which reportedly amounts to $2 million.

De Laurentiis announced her split with her former fashion designer husband back in December.

"Although our decision to separate comes with a great deal of sadness, our focus on the future and overwhelming desire for our family's happiness has given us the strength to move forward on separate, yet always connected paths. Todd and I share a beautiful daughter and a lifetime of great memories that we both treasure more than anything."

De Laurentiis and Thompson will share custody of their seven-year-old daughter Jade Marie De Laurentiis Thompson. The two have yet to comment on the rumors surrounding their divorce.
