'Finding Nemo 2' Cast Updates: New Characters Join Dory in "Finding Dory"; Nemo Has New Voice

In August, the fans of the 2003 animated film "Finding Nemo" learned during the Disney's D23 Expo that the forgetful blue fish named "Dory", voiced by comedian Ellen DeGeneres, will keep swimming in her own story.

According to Huffington Post, Disney has also tweeted an image that introduced a new Character, Hank the octopus with only seven legs. The tweet says, "The ocean's full of surprises. Meet Hank the cantankerous Octopus, voiced by Ed O'Neill. #FindingDory #D23EXPO"

Huffington Post reported that Pixar President Jim Morris said back in December that the story will take the viewers to the Marine Biology Institute of California where Dory was born and raised before she was released to the open sea. Given that most of the story will take place in that marine sanctuary, a lot of fans became concerned if they would still be seeing the young clownfish "Nemo."

Fans should not worry, because according to Parent Herald, while "Finding Dory" will have additional characters including Dory's parents, the Moorish idol Gill from the dentist tank, Merlin and Nemo will still be part of the sequel. Diane Keaton will be the voice of Dory's mom Jenny while Eugene Levy will be the voice of Dory's father Charlie. Of course, Ellen DeGeneres will still voice over for Dory.

On the other hand, Nemo reportedly gets a new voice. According to Fox 32, 6th-grader Hayden Rolence from Aurora was chosen to voice Nemo for "Finding Dory." President Lori of Indian Prairie School Board reportedly told Chicago Tribune, "Hayden had just turned 9 years old when he was chosen for the part. He and his family were unable to share the exciting news with anyone for two years." The original voice of Nemo was given by Alexander Gould who is already in his early 20s now.

"Finding Dory" will hit theaters in June 17, 2016.
