iOS 9.1 Release Update: Public Beta Shows-Off Unicode 8, 41 Emojis; Apple Pencil, Smart Keyboard Supported

iOS 9.1 public beta is now public featuring emojis.

Apple's announcement of  iOS 9, which will be released on Sept. 16, also signaled that a number of developers have already received the iOS 9.1.  Now it is in its public beta, it is set to contain entertaining emojis.

iOS 9.1 public beta reportedly has Taco, burrito, hot dog, popcorn, unicorn face, cheese wedge, turkey and a whole lot more. The public beta version is available to those who registered for the beta testing call previously done by Apple, MacRumors reported.

iOS 9.1 public beta, the soon-to-be available operating system,  will be supporting the accessories that Apple also launched on Sept. 9, namely the Smart Keyboard and the Apple Pencil. A large portion of the  Apple's event was actually centered to the newly developed stylus aside from the big tablet, the 12.9-inch iPad Pro.

iOS 9.1 public beta also has Unicode 8 and 41 emojis, to be exact.  Zipped mouth, nerd face, sick face, mosque and the Menorah are the additional emojis included in the update.

Apple's new processor, the A9 chipset, for the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus has brought in additional features not available to the previous processor.  The M9 coprocessor makes it possible for users to give voice commands for Siri since it is now actively listening.  The first intelligent, personal assistant can now be tailored to fully understand a user's voice, according to a report by Apple Insider.

There will also be a process of setting up "Hey Siri."  Users are required to say a number of sentences so "Siri" can get accustomed to the user's voice.  Once the setup has been completed, "Siri" will be an "always-on" feature for the new iOS.  This is not the case in the previous version of the OS.  There is no setup to be performed.

iOS 9 will be available for download on Sept. 16.
