'Thor: Ragnarok' Update: Filming in Pinewoods Atlanta Studio Where 'Ant-Man,' 'Pirates of the Carribean' Were Filmed; Marvel Movie Release Schedules Available Here!

The movie location for "Thor: Ragnarok" was revealed via a tweet.

"Thor: Ragnarok" fans were a little bit surprised when a tweet was posted for the possible shooting location for the third installment of the movie "Thor." The tweet said that the filming of the new movie, "Thor: Ragnarok," will be in Pinewood Atlanta Studios.

"Thor: Ragnarok" movie tweet was from Filming in Georgia or @FilmingInGa and it said, "Thor: Ragnarok to be Filmed in Georgia at @PinewoodStudios! @chrishemsworth @JaimieAlexander @twhiddleston," the tweet said.

Prior to this post, it was believed that the production will take place in another location, and it is not in the U.S.  Accordingly, the said studio was also used to film "Ant-Man," the upcoming "Captain America: Civil War" and was reported to be filming "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2," Screenrant reported.

It is said that Disney was actually considering Australia, Village Roadshow Studios where "Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" was filmed.  It is a vast complex where large-scale superhero movies can be filmed, also according to the report.

Pinewoods Atlanta Studio is also believed to be where "Captain Marvel" will be filmed, and it only seems logical that Marvel use the same studio after the filming of "Ant-Man."  It is the next following movie.

"Thor: Ragnarok" has no official announcement yet to confirm these film locations so at the moment, it is still an open book, anything can change and can happen. Let us just hope that the upcoming "Thor: Ragnarok" will be up to its standard.

"Thor: Ragnarok" is scheduled to hit the movie theaters on Nov. 3, 2017.  Marvel Cinematic Universe schedule is as follows: "Captain America: Civil War" May 6, 2016; "Doctor Strange" November 4, 2016; "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" May 5, 2017; "Spider-Man" July 28, 2017; "The Avengers: Infinity War Part 1" May 4, 2018; "Black Panther" July 6, 2018; "Captain Marvel" November 2, 2018; "The Avengers: Infinity War Part 2" May 3, 2019; and "Inhumans" July 12, 2019.
