"The Young And The Restless" Cast Rumors: Is Michael Easton Set To Join The Soap?

There are speculations that "The Young and The Restless" might be interested in casting up Michael Easton. According to Celebrity Laundry, in Michael's interview on his Facebook account he made it clear that at least one soap other than "General Hospital" has contacted him and interested to pick him up.

Easton's character as Silas Clay was recently fired from ABC's "General Hospital." It came as a shock for the actor without having any idea that his job is already about to end. According to the Examiner, a lot of fans are still in shock of what had happened to Michael's character even though his exit story was indeed storyline related. Many of his loyal fans are greatly disappointed.

However, the actor is dealing with it professionally. He is taking things into perspective and even said in his interview with Soaps in Depth, "I'm not rushing into anything. I'm going to look to see what's out there, be patient and enjoy time with the family." He also added, "I'm going to do a little writing to clear my head."

It clearly makes sense why there are a lot of fans who are thinking that Easton could be a great addition to the case of CBS daytime drama "The Young and The Restless." The Soap Opera Spy reported that in the latest issue of Soaps in Depth, Michael was asked about joining the cast of "The Young and the Restless" or "The Bold and the Beautiful" or perhaps even returning to "Days of Our Lives" as Tanner Scofield?

Michael replied, "Someone called and inquired, but I would have to think long and hard about it. I just want the next part to be the right part."

Easton also shared that in the next role that he will be accepting, he wants a good storyline for character where in it can grow, not just, "We can fit you in over here and bring your fans over," he said.

Whether it would be "The Young and the Restless," "The Bold and the Beautiful" or "Days of Our Lives" Michael's loyal fans will still be looking after him and follow the progress of the character that he will be portraying.
