"Dance Moms" alum Chloe Lukasiak was recently featured in the behind-the-scenes footage of the recently concluded 2015 Teen Choice Awards. In the said event, Lukasiak won in the Choice Dancer category over the other nominees, and more specifically her biggest rival, Maddie Ziegler.
The BTS clip that was posted on Lukasiak's YouTube page also featured her mom getting all teary-eyed after her daughter's big win.
Lukasiak's video kicks off with the 14-year-old dancer walking on the blue carpet with her boyfriend, Ricky Garcia. The clip then cuts to Lukasiak walking to the stage to get her award. Before her acceptance speech was featured, several clips from her stint on "Dance Moms" were shown.
"This is such an honor. To anyone who has ever been told that they can't do it, they shouldn't do it, or they aren't good enough - ignore it. Do it anyway and prove them wrong," she said.
Meanwhile, Lukasiak's speech caused a bit of an argument between her fans and the fans of Ziegler. Some of them believe that the dancer's speech was directed at coach Abby Lee Miller for always favoring Ziegler over her.
The clip, which was also posted on Christi's Twitter account, featured the mom and Garcia looking all emotional at the sight of the young dancer.
Twitter user @gcbec8 also posted a series of photos featuring the mother-daughter tandem while doing interviews in the press room.
"@Dancemomchristi @YouTube watching how proud @Dancemomchristi is, great job mom," the photo caption read.
During her interview at the press room, Lukasiak told the reporters how much she struggled to get to where she is at now.
"I've had to push through a lot of things and overcome obstacles. But in the end, it's all worth it because I'm standing here with a surfboard," she said.
