Home Design Tips: How to Create Extra Space in the Bathroom

Is your bathroom feeling a bit cramped? Given that it's a small space, there's very little or no storage area to waste. Here are tips on how you can make your bathroom be a little bit more spacious.

First things first, don't make your bathroom another room to store all things "bathroom." This goes for towels or extra toiletries. For example, you can go for towel hooks instead of racks if you constantly just use one towel anyway. It's always safe to constantly declutter your space, especially when it's one of your smallest rooms.

Think beyond eye-level shelves! You can add a simple bookshelf on top of your door so you can put extra toilet paper and other toiletries. Another option would be installing another shower rod inside the shower so you can simply hang your toiletries. It has less risk of falling off like a typical shower rack. Another old-school trick is to use a bigger mirror. This quick trick always works since it gives the illusion that the space doesn't close in. You can even put it near a light source to add a whimsical vibe to your space. Learn more about using mirrors in your home here.

If you're really scrimping on space, ditch the door and go for a clear curtain instead. Clear curtains work similarly like mirrors too, as they give the illusion that the space isn't closed in. Curtains will allow you more movement and room. When it comes to your racks and other accessories in the bathroom, clear ones will work too.

If your bathroom's current layout just won't work, rearrange or remodel it while making most out of the corners. Going for a corner sink as well as putting a towel rack behind the door are just some of the ideas. Get inspiration from these beautiful tiny bathrooms here
