Latest on the Duggar Family Scandal: Jessa Turns Against Brother Josh

Jessa Duggar, sister of the disgraced reality TV personality Josh Duggar, has been facing extremely harsh criticisms from many women ever since she went public on being one of the five girls that her brother had allegedly molested as a teenager. Amidst the scandal her family is in following Josh's admitted cheating, sexual abuse and porn addiction, she has been holding on to her faith for strength and finally she has decided to take sides publicly.

Jessa has turned against her brother and sides with the Seewalds. On her twitter account, she posted a link to the Seewald family website and told the public, "Go to seewalds.com and read the post on the Ashley Madison scandal." The link leads to the scornful blog post of her father-in-law, Michael Seewald, in which he called Josh a "pretender."

According to US Weekly, Ben Seewald's father, who had initially expressed his support for the Duggar family in May when the molestation scandal broke, has written with a different tone saying, "I do not wish to add any more distress to a family still recovering from the indignity of the publication of a police report detailing Josh's sins as a teenager. Though I have never gotten to know Josh very well, I have great respect for his sorrowing parents and immense sympathy for his dear wife, Anna, and their four children."

Furthermore, according to US Weekly, the Seewald patriarch attacked Josh in the blog post, by pointing out his hypocrisy as he had been using Ashley Madison secretly while publicly professing his faith. He wrote, "What is troubling is that many who take the name of Christ are among its members... It distresses me to say that Josh Duggar's greatest sin is a byproduct of the sum total of his secretly sinful lifestyle. That is, that by his hypocrisy, he blasphemed the name of God. He claimed to be a Christian, but by his deeds he has suggested otherwise. With the name of God on his lips he lived a covert and extensive lifestyle of evil."

In addition to showing support for her father-in-laws blog post, Jessa had also retweeted a link to pastor Piper John's sermon regarding "The Passions that Prevent Adultery."
