Fans Rejoice after Judge Rules in Favor of Tom Brady in Deflategate; NFL Made an Appeal

Tom Brady fans are rejoicing after the court judge lifted the league's four-game suspension of New England Patriots' star quarterback for a scandal over deflated footballs. With his claim of unfair treatment coming from the NFL Commissioner, Roger Goodell, now vindicated, he may now start the season on the field.

Multiple reasons were cited by U.S. District Judge Richard M. Berman, as he rejected the suspension a week before New England's Sept. 10 opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The judge even criticized the commissioner for "his own brand of industrial justice." On a statement via foxsports, Berman wrote that;

"Because there was no notice of a four-game suspension in the circumstances presented here, Commissioner Goodell may be said to have 'dispensed his own brand of industrial justice."

Such statement was in support of the citations made by the judge as he saw "several significant legal deficiencies" on how the controversy was handled by the NFL. For it was reported that there was no advance notice of potential penalties and refusal to produce a key witness. According to him it is a player's right to know what constitutes violations and what are the penalties as part of the collective bargaining agreement. He then emphasized that "the court finds that Brady had no notice that he could receive a four-game suspension for general awareness of ball deflation by others."

However the issue far from being over for Goodell and the league appealed to the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan with a one-page notice from NFL attorney Daniel Nash. But this does not mean that Brady would be unable to take part at the opening, for the NFL opted not to seek for an emergency stay, allowing Brady to play while the case is appealed.

Now this momentous event and verdict thrilled most NFL fans. They even expressed their gratitude and excitement on the social media. A certain Chantel McCabe on twitter posted a photo of Dunkin Donuts announcing to give free coffee to Judge Beerman for life.
