'Kanye West' For President? White House Responds to the Rappers Announcement

It seems that Kanye has no plans of putting an end to his reputation as the Music Industry's most misunderstood artist.  As a rapper, he can I rap about anything but announce to all of a sudden that he is running for president in 2020 must be very surprising to hear for everyone.  A report in CNN quotes what the rapper said last Sunday at the VMAs, "I don't know what I finna lose after this. It don't matter, though; it's not about me. It's about ideas. New ideas. People with ideas. People who believe in truth," West said. "And yes, as you probably could've guessed by this moment, I have decided in 2020 to run for president."

If he was serious or not, it wasn't clear at that time, but the White House heard it, too.  A story in Politico tells that while speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One on Monday, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said that he is looking "forward to seeing what slogan he chooses to embroider on his campaign hat.

Furthermore, the Democratic Party has also reacted to the said announcement.  In their official Twitter account @TheDemocrats, there was a  post that said, "Last night @kanyewest declared his candidacy for president in 2020. Welcome to the race, Mr. West. Glad to have you.

Unlike Katy Perry, who was clearly joking when she said she was going to be the 46th president, Kanye West is determined to run for the highest office in 2020.  It was said that a source has exclusively told Hollywood Life that, "Kanye's seriously considering campaigning right now and one of the ways he's thinking about doing it is to get his message to the people through his music.  He'd love to re-write the U.S. Constitution and make it rhyme and flow so that people could dance to the music, and also retain the words and the meaning of the constitution - just like they know all the words to any one of his hit songs."

It looks like Kanye has taken the spotlight from Donald Trump.  Is this another Hollywood or political circus or is Kanye being paid to undermine Trump's candidacy.
