Chris Mullin, NBA Hall of Famer, and the new coach of St. John's Red Storm men's basketball team has just placed his home in Danville, California up for sale for $2.6 million, according to realtor.com.
Mullin's North California Mediterranean inspired home measures 5,469 square feet. It has a garage that can fit five vehicles and a separate one-bedroom cabana with single bath. The property is sized at half an acre completely surrounded by a hedge for more privacy. Inside there's a swimming pool with ample entertaining space for family and friends. The house interiors have high ceilings and give an overall luxurious feel. There's also a staircase made from iron that winds around the entrance of the two-story home.
This is not the first time that the basketball player will be placing a property up for sale or got involved in a real estate transaction. According to Los Angeles Times, the Hall of Famer and ex-NBA executive made a trade in January, purchasing one unit and selling another in the same condominium building in Coronado. Mullin let go of a 1,400-square-foot space for $1.5 million. It was a corner unit with terrace and a beautiful ocean view. The original asking price was $1.55 million. In return, the sharpshooter guard bought a unit with 1,200-square-foot of space complete with a kitchen and breakfast bar to complement the one bedroom and two baths. The listing price for the unit was $1.2 million as of July.
Mullin first gained prominence in the NBA as an offensive force for the Golden State Warriors that recently won the franchise's first title. He later joined NBA greats Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, and Patrick Ewing in the 1992 USA Olympic basketball team dubbed the "Dream Team." The group won the gold medal via a perfect win-loss record.
