'This War of Mine' Comes for PS4, Xbox One in 2016; PS4 Edition will Feature Extra Shelter

"This War of Mine" will be bringing the game to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One with a little twist.  It will be a game that highlights how a child sees the war.

"This War of Mine," original game, was actually inspired by actual events in "Siege of Sarajevo" that happened from 1992 till 1996 during the Bosnian War.  The game was released in 2014 for Microsoft Windows, OS X and Linux OS platforms.

"This War of Mine: The Little Ones," the second franchise "hardships of wartime survival" was from the perspective of a child.  The objective of the game is to let the child survive this horrible experience and not the typical military campaign war game.  Gamers are not a soldier here, but rather a human being that is trying to survive.

"This War of Mine" new game features players being able to control a group of adults and children attempting and enduring an attack on their city.  Shortage of food and supplies, typical of a war, gamers will be making tough choices and a lot of sacrifices to protect and ensure the children make it through.  Typically, shelter, food, medicine as well as fixing the broken toys so that children can still be children.  Also typical in a war is the psychological effect of the devastation to the children, in which gamers will also be taking care of by talking to them, bonding and consoling them.

"Our goal as the device was to create a mature experience in which you're seeing war through the eyes of a regular person - so not a military action, but a horrible challenge to overcome," 11 Bit Studio's senior writer Pawel Miechowski says in an article by PlayStation Europe.

Also included in the game is the added responsibility of taking care of the "Large Mansion."  The PS4 edition will be having this extra shelter and as a player, gamers need to look out for it.  Fortifying it as a potential hideout plays a big role in the game.

"This War of Mine" is set for release on Jan. 29, 2016, 11 Bit Studios announced.
