Pax Prime 2015: ‘Witcher 3: Wild Hunt' Hearts of Stone DLC ‘Almost Ready,’ Developer Says

An official from CD Projekt Red has said that the first paid DLC of "Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" called the Hearts of Stone is "almost ready, and shaping up really nicely." This was announced by CD Projekt Red's Travis Currit when he provided the latest update on the development of the video game's content at Pax Prime 2015. The Hearts of Stone DLC is slated to be released this October, and gamers will be able to play about 10 hours of new content, a report from Gamespot said on Monday.

"Hearts of Stone will take Geralt on an all-new, 10-hour-plus adventure into the wilds of No Man's Land and the nooks and alleys of Oxenfurt, where he'll try to complete a contract from the mysterious Man of Glass. Caught in a thick tangle of deceit, Geralt will need all his cunning and strength to solve the mystery and emerge unscathed," the DLC's description states.

According to Gamespot,  a promotional art of the video game's Hearts of Stone DLC shows Shani, a playable character from the original "Witcher," but the red-haired woman never makes an appearance.  The game developer has also discussed the game's popular in-game card, Gwent. Speaking at Pax Prime, Currit teased that the gaming studio has some "good news" for the Gwent fans; however, details were not specified.

CD Projekt Red has not yet announced a pricing for the game's Hearts of Stone DLC. The game's second paid DLC expansion, Blood and Wine, is also included in "The Witcher 3" Season Pass for a total of $25. The Blood and Wine DLC is scheduled to be released in April 2016.

"Blood and Wine, a 20-hour-plus tale that will introduce the all-new in-game region of Toussaint, will take Geralt to a land untainted by war, where an atmosphere of carefree indulgence and knightly ritual masks an ancient, bloody secret," reads a description from The Witcher website.
