Marnie Simpson and Ricky Rayment has split up, according to latest news. The two reportedly parted ways after the "Geordie Shore" star cheated on Rayment. The sad news was followed by Simpson unfollowing Rayment on Twitter. Their actions triggered speculations that they indeed broke up.
According to Mirror, the 22-year-old "TOWIE" star called off the engagement with the 23-year-old British actress after she was pictured with a different guy whom she claims is her friend. She was seen holding hands with her male pal during the time. However, Rick apparently doesn't believe her. The incident allegedly triggered an endless row between the couple.
"She was pictured out with a mystery man without her engagement ring and it all started from there," an insider told the British site. "He strongly believes she cheated on him and they have been rowing since then, but there have been other reasons why they have been not getting on."
The site reports that Simpson played down all the cheating rumors and said that she's allowed to have male friends. She even claimed that her ring was at home because she doesn't want to lose it. A witness close to Rayment said that the actress continuously denies the cheating rumors but he doesn't believe her anymore.
It was then followed with the news that Marnie unfollowed Rayment on Twitter and then posted an emotional message.
"I couldn't of ever imagined what this day would bring. My heart is broken," the reality TV actress wrote on her Twitter page. She didn't elaborate on the message or confirm whether she has thrown the towel with the "Only Way is Essex" star.
Early this year, the actor revealed his wish to start a family with Simpson, according to Daily Mail.
"When you find the right person, it's a totally different feeling. I'm filled up with happiness now. I want a future with Marnie and to start a family, so it felt right," he said.
Simpson and Rayment began dating in January after they were seen cozying up at the National Television Awards after party. The two got engaged after six months. Rayment previously dated his former "TOWIE" co-star Jess Wright but they split up after two years. Meanwhile, Simpson formerly dated her "Geordie Shore" co-star Aaron Chalmers.
