Celebrity Home Shuffle: Where Don Knotts Meets the Arctic Monkeys in Glendale

Indie rock drummer Matt Helders is selling his Glendale, CA home for $1.4 million. Variety reports that the Arctic Monkeys member purchased the country-chic pad found in Hollywood Hills from Zooey Deschanel. The late actor Don Knotts of "The Andy Griffith Show'' and "Three's Company'' also once lived in this Glendale home.

Built in 1934, this three-bedroom home features a Spanish-Colonial heated saltwater pool, teak floors, and a magnesite staircase. The renovated green-certified kitchen also features Caesarstone countertops and a built-in banquette.

According to the report of Realtor, the 29-year-old British drummer has recently confirmed that he and his fiancée Breana McDow are expecting their first child. "On Halloween a new monster is born,'' Breana posted on her Instagram recently.

As reported by the Daily Mail, pregnant Zooey Deschanel sold her Hollywood Hills home to the Arctic Monkeys drummer for $2.3 million. The 35-year-old actress' spacious home had taken two months to sell. Deschanel's home was listed the same month for $2.2 million, but The New Girl star made $100K above the original asking price. News of the sale was welcomed by Deschanel who showed a massive baby bump when spotted out in L.A. over the weekend. The actress reportedly purchased the house for $1.69 million from Mark Ruffalo in 2009.

This three-bedroom property is furbished with hardwood floors. Some rooms feature white feminine floral furnishings and appear shabby-chic. The half-acre property is surrounded with plenty of towering privet hedges and greenery.

The Hollywood Hills home includes three and a half bathrooms with an intimate dining area. The eye-catching white and blue kitchen features thick slabs of marble countertops, top-grade appliances, brass hardware detailing, and a custom-built banquette. This beautiful property has delicate touches that include crystal chandeliers, ornate curtains, and built-in china cabinets. It also boasts of a private backyard, a fireplace, French doors, and plenty of windows for the sun to shine through.
