'Once Upon A Time' Season 5 Spoilers & Air Date: Will Regina Be The Hero This Time? Can Henry Rewrite Emma's Fate?

Based on the recent behind-the-scenes photos shared online, it seems like Regina (Lana Parrilla) will become a hero as she tries to save Emma (Jennifer Morrison) from being the Dark One. In the photos shared by Spoiler TV, fans can see the two women who seem to be working together in a scene. Additional photos reveal Emma and Regina in a conversation.

In a recent interview, Parrilla said that Regina has been trying to be a hero in the last year and she added that Regina is now both good and bad. She hinted that Regina will have a huge impact in bringing Emma back to the light.

It was reported that fans are eagerly awaiting Emma's fate and who will save her from being the Dark One. It was earlier reported that Rumple (Robert Carlyle) might help her in controlling her powers. According to the International Business Times, her son Henry Daniel Mills (Jared S Gilmore) might also be the one to save her from the Darkness.

In the previous season, Henry was given an option to rewrite the book before his mother becomes the Dark One. However, he refused to do it and broke the Author's quill. It was reported that he now regrets his decision and he will try his best to save her. Henry was reported to initially team up with Prince Charming (Josh Dallas), Captain Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) and Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) to find the location of Merlin (Elliot Knight). However, since Henry is the new author, it was reported that he will gradually find a way to rewrite his mother's fate.

As "Once Upon A Time" returns for Season 5, new characters will also be joining the show as it was earlier reported that Merida from "Brave" and most of the characters from Camelot will be going to Storybrooke.

"Once Upon A Time" Season 5 returns to ABC on September 27.
