'GTA VI' Rumors: Female Playable Character Comes in 2018?

"Grand Theft Auto" will have a sixth installment soon.

It has been two years since "Grand Theft Auto V" was released and fans are now obviously ready for the debut of "GTA VI" despite the fact that they are still relishing the previous installment of what is known to be the top video game of all time.

"Grand Theft Auto 6" specifics regarding the popular game franchise have been restricted. However, several key developers who worked on the game have dropped some hints on what players can expect from "GTA VI."

One of "GTA's" creators, Dan Houser, discussed future plans for the "Grand Theft Auto" franchise. The videogame producer also responded to one of the most debated questions: would there ever be a female lead in the "GTA" series?

"In the future, could we do a game with a lead female character? Of course. We just haven't found the right game for it yet, but it's one of the things that we always think about. It didn't feel natural for this game but definitely for the right game in the future - with the right themes, it could be fantastic," The Guardian reported.

"Grand Theft Auto" fans seem to be really excited about the possibility of having a playable female character in "Grand Theft Auto." Meanwhile, a lack of official release date announcement for "GTA VI" makes it look like it won't be happening soon.

In the year 2013, it had been declared by the president of Rockstar productions, Leslie Benzies, that the GTA franchise will not release a game every year, explaining that one year is not a long enough duration to be able to create and produce a high quality game. Specifically, he said, "We won't be doing things every year in a cycle. A year just isn't long enough to do this job. It might have been on the old consoles, but not on this."

"Grand Theft Auto 6" has no official announcement regarding the upcoming release date, however reports say that it is expected to debut by 2018, Neuro Gadget revealed.
