'iZombie' Season 2 Spoilers: There's Still Hope for Liv and Major

After a sullen end to the first season of "iZombie," viewers expected for Liv (Rose McIver) and Major (Robert Buckley) to be officially done. The season finale featured Liv turning Major into a zombie after Blaine (David Anders) stabbed him in the gut. Liv figured that it was the only way for Major to stay alive, but he wasn't exactly happy with her decision to turn him.

Producer Diane Ruggiero-Wright told Hollywood Life that despite their situation, there's still hope for romance for Liv and Major.

She said in the exclusive interview, "I really think that there is potential for them. We're not very schmuck-baity, and if they're broken apart, it's not going to be like, every week they have a fight and then they break up. We're not the type to just jerk people around. If they end, they end and then they get back together, it'll be for a good reason. There's hope, definitely."

However, Ruggiero-Wright mentioned that it might take long before Major starts warming up to Liv again. Viewers can expect Major to be completely different from the gentle and nice person they saw back in the first season. Liv turning him into a zombie may just take its toll on the all-new Major.

TV Line also published exciting news about Season 2 of the show, thanks to an interview with executive producer Rob Thomas. They asked what else he could explore with Liv and Major's relationship now that the truth is out. Thomas candidly answered, "Now that they both know, and Major knows what he'd be getting into, we're toying with, could they try a romantic relationship in which no bodily fluids were exchanged? It's sort of a great existential question of, could you have a romantic partner with whom the sexual limits were very, very strict? How would that go? We may explore that."

"iZombie" Season 2 premieres on October 6 on The CW.
