A Guide To Finding Property Near UK's Best Schools

Providing children with the best education money can buy isn't really all that; parents nowadays are more keen to studying about the house market in a specific area where the top notch schools are. 

A recent article on the telegraph.co.uk ranked Birmingham as the best choice when searching for a house or relocating to a school in that area based on house prices and GCSE( General Certificate of Secondary Education) scores. 

"Unfortunately we aren't all in the desirable position whereby we can wave our children off to a prestigious, private boarding school, but this latest eMoov study identifies the top performing schools in the country in relation to the affordability of property in their surrounding area...If you're limited in terms of budget when looking to buy, you can still ensure your children get a chance of a top education," Russel Quirk, eMoov Chief Executive, was quoted as saying.

The top performing Birmingham schools that came from the top 10 list, according to eMoov data are:

  1. King Edward VI Handsworth School
  2. King Edward VI Five Ways School
  3. King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Girls

The 3 schools mentioned above placed first, third and fifth respectively, according to the same article.

Another article on birminghammail.co.uk also gave insight on the correlation on the balance between the GCSE scores and house market prices. An average house price of £107,305 partnered with an average score of 588.9 GCSE points garnered by each student thus results in a £182-property value per GCSE point achieved.A survey completed for eMoov revealed parents ultimately willing to sell their old homes and then relocate to where the best schools are to ensure their children of the best start in life.
