5 Practical Bedroom Ideas to Help Attain That Great Night Sleep

A bedroom is an immaculate ground and sanctuary for some. It is a space for different means not just for sleep. Some of us hover work, recreation and play in our bedrooms. This might work for some but for others, it may interfere on that good night's sleep. Elle Décor shares some tips and advice to garner peace in your snooze space.

1.       Keep bedside tables clean

A simple reminder to us is that our bedroom is a place for rest and relaxation. We should avoid bringing in our office work and stuff cluttered in our bedside table. A total no-no if we want to have a serene slumber.

As Brad Ford said to Elle Décor, "Keep clutter off of your bedside table." "It's a forever reminder of things you need to do, take care of, and it's not relaxing at all. It's the first place you look at every night and every morning. It's almost like a metaphor for how you're living your life."

2.       Consider an Upholstered Wall

If the noise from your neighbor or your kids keep disturbing your sleep, the most you can do about it is to upholster your walls. Upholstered walls do not only help in reduction of the noise but it also reflects a very comfortable place where you could just lean back and relax.

3.       Get Bedding Right

Ultra-soft and Comfortable Bed Sheets are a must-have if you want to reinvent a total relaxing area. Cotton Linen sheets are always an amazing option for this and another tip that will also help is regulating the temperature of your room.

4.       Choose Art Carefully

Some are not aware but artworks displayed on our room can also affect our sleep. If you're planning to put some artworks in your room, try choosing the ones that do not have flashy, vivid colors like red, tangerine, orange or those with busy details. Opt for those that have neutral tones, soft colors and those that are easy on the eyes.

5.       Make use of a Dimmer

A full-lighted room may not help us get to sleep mode; a great substitute to that light is to have a lamp dimmer beside your bed. A great and stylish option for this too is to have a wall-mounted dimmer.
