'Toy Story 4' Rumors: Will Woody's Search for Love be More Successful than Andy's Act of Donating Toys?

The "Toy Story 4" plot has been revealed and this time, it will focus on the stuffed cowboy's personal hunt for love.

"Toy Story," the highly acclaimed Disney-Pixar movie, has not yet come to its end even though the last movie showed Andy moving on to college and donating his toys. Woody and Buzz Lightyear, along with their pals are back. This time, the stuffed cowboy is on the hunt for the love of his life.

Disney's Chief Creative Officer, John Lasseter, provided more details regarding the fourth "Toy Story" movie during the D23 Expo. According to Lasseter, all the previous films in the franchise have delved into diverse genres. This time around, they will explore the romantic side of Woody (Tom Hanks) and another animated character, Bo Peep (Annie Potts).

Lasseter explained that 'Toy Story 4' will be a love story between Woody and Bo Peep. Bo has returned for 'Toy Story 4,' and Woody and Buzz will be heading out to find Bo. "It's a very, very emotional story, and it's very fun doing a story about those characters," IGN quoted Lasseter.

It can be recalled that Bo Peep was missing in "Toy Story 3" for some reason. However, the new sequel is expected to have some explanation regarding her absence while Woody and Buzz are in search for her.

Lasseter further admitted that they intended to make "Toy Story 4" as successful -- if not more -- than its predecessor, or else Pixar would surely not have approved the sequel had they not seen the potential of it becoming another box office hit.

Fans of the "Toy Story" franchise seem to agree that the last sequel was a perfect ending to the popular animated film series, Ecumenical News reported. It showed Andy as a grownup who finally was able to let go of his childhood toys despite the struggle. It became such a hit that the movie was hailed the first animated film to make $1 billion total earnings in ticket sales alone.

"Toy Story 4" is expected to come out on June 16, 2017.
