Gold Coast Casino: Six-Star Luxury Hotel To Be Built By Echo Entertainment in Broadbeach Site

Australia's Gold Coast in Queensland will soon flaunt a six-star hotel at the Gold Coast Jupiter Casino's Broadbeach site. Construction for the new luxury hotel has started, and the $345 million project is expected to boost the country's tourism.

Commonwealth Bank reports that the ongoing real estate project is expected to be completed by 2018. It is also deemed to create at least 1,700 jobs during its construction phase.

According to Brisbane Times, the hotel will house 70 rooms over 17 floors, the standard type measuring at least 80 square meters. It will also feature a 300-square-meter penthouse, which will offer exceptional views of the Australian coastline.

Based on the fly-through of the new hotel from the aforementioned site, there will be a rooftop deck with pool where guests can lounge around and soak up relaxing views of Gold Coast. Another pool is pictured at a lower floor. Other amenities include suites with three or four bedrooms, large balconies and digital signage in multiple languages. Home offices, theaters and karaoke parlors are also expected to be included in other luxury suites.

Commonwealth Bank reports that the luxury hotel's six-star accommodations are targeted toward international visitors, as Gold Coast receives 80,000 tourists every year. A hotel spokesperson also said, "This new hotel will add enormously to the Gold Coast's stock of 6-star accommodation, further enhancing the city's reputation as an international destination for all sectors of the market, including the premium tourist."

Besides the luxury accommodation, guests can also enjoy world-class facilities in the elegant hotel. These include new restaurants and bars.

Brisbane Times reports that the project is just the beginning of Echo Entertainment's business ventures. The company reportedly has a lineup of other real estate projects, which include a hospitality school on the coast and a "centerpiece Queen's Wharf Casino in Brisbane." Echo CEO Matt Bekier was quoted as saying by the publication that they "need more five- and six-star-hotels."
