We all know that the bedroom is the most sacred place in the house, for it is the only room where you can rest and enjoy your dreams. One must have a relaxing bedroom that can easily calm you on a tiring day. Listed below are a few tips from Apartment Therapy on how to create a stress-free bedroom.

COLOR

You can practically chose any color you want when it comes to painting your bedroom, but do make sure that it would be the color that you're most comfortable with. Don't choose anything too bright if you want a calming environment. Go for warm, earthly colors to soothe your mood instead but if you're having a hard time waking up in the morning, then go for a vibrant pop of color for your senses to be awaken.

CURTAINS

Most people doesn't pay much attention to the curtains as they would usually use whatever is available without knowing that it plays an important role in having a good rest. Look for curtains that can easily open and close for you to be able to control the amount of light that's going in. Also consider the window treatments based on how much privacy you would need.

LIGHTING

Some lighting can be unflattering, and some can even trigger wakefulness. Go for smaller and dim lamps around the room. Bedside lamps are beneficial too as they provide ambient lighting that can easily calm you. Do avoid lighting that are blue or green toned and go for a warm (yellow) light.

ORGANIZATION

This plays an important role in having a stress-free bedroom as clutter usually leaves an individual restless. Keep your bedroom organized as much as possible and leave it clutter free. Make sure to clean the room once every 2-3 days to ensure a clean comfortable feel.
