Adam Levine Enlists John Fogerty As His Team's Advisor in "The Voice"

Two-time 'The Voice' champ coach Adam Levine has recruited John Fogerty as his team's advisor for the 9th season of the hit reality talent show.

According to a report by People Magazine, the frontman of Creedence Clearwater Revival, a band that was hailed by Rolling Stone as 82nd in its list of the greatest artists of all time, will be filling the slot previously held by Stevie Nicks and Ellie Goulding. Fogerty will be mentoring the members of Team Adam for their Battle Rounds.

In previous seasons, the other coaches have enlisted Diana Ross, Cher, Nick Jonas, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Fun's Nate Ruess, and Coldplay's Chris Martin to guide their singers.

In an interview with People Magazine, Fogerty said of the gig: "Hangin' with Adam, singing 'Lookin' Out My Backdoor' with him ... [I'm] just having the time of my life right now. Adam has an incredible voice and I am honored that he asked me to join him. I have great respect for the amount of work that goes into this show and the contestants that I got to hear sing, really impressed me." And Fogerty also has a lot of faith in Team Adam as he added: "It appears Adam has the winner. I saw something really unique and special. I can't give away details, but when this show airs I think the world will see for them(selves) and it won't be a secret for long."

Other advisors for this season are Missy Elliott, Selena Gomez and Brad Paisley.

The new season of 'The Voice' will air on Sept. 21 with regulars Levine, Blake Shelton, reigning champion Pharrell Williams, and returning Judge Gwen Stefani taking the seats. The show is hosted by Carson Daly.

According to a report by Entertainment Weekly, Christina Aguilera will be having a time off and Gwen Stefani will make her way in again on the ninth season of 'The Voice.'

Stefani is excited with this return. "I'm coming back and am so excited! I can't believe I get to return to 'The Voice'," Stefani said in a press release. "It's so inspiring to be around such incredible talent and music. I'm looking forward to working again with Adam, Blake and Pharrell. I love those guys," the former No Doubt vocalist said.
