Fox's 'Prisonbreak' Series News: Show Set To Return Next Year With Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcel

As reported on comicbook, Fox Chairman and CEO Dana Walden said at the Television Critics Association's semi-annual press tour that Prison Break revival is in motion. According to her she said that;

"I would describe it as a bit of a sequel, it picks up the characters several years after we left them in the last season of the show. The brothers will be back. Some of the iconic characters from that show will be back. It definitely will address some questions that were set up at the end of the series and for a new audience... It'll start after where we left the Scofields in the final season."

The said return of Prison Break, according to theverge, is primarily attributed to the popularity of the series on streaming video services such as Netflix. It has been considered as one of the most-binged shows since it has been reintroduced to a younger generation. It can be remembered that Fox aired on TV the four seasons of Prison Break from 2005 to 2009, since then several adoring fans have been reminiscing its story via social media, mostly through GIF's.

Though the exact date of the reboot is yet to be announced, fans are deemed to face the question whether how Michael Scofield would be reintroduced in the comeback series.  For in the direct to video finale movie, "The Final Break," Scofield was depicted to be dead. And Paul Scheuring, the genius creator behind the successful TV series, would have to assume the challenge of re-introducing Scofield. And as to the suggestion of Fox Chairman and CEO Gary Newman, Scheuring may choose to ignore either a part or a whole of the Final break. As seen on comicbook, Newman then added that;

 "I don't think he's going to completely ignore what happened in that episode, but what he pitched to us was a very logical and believable explanation in the world of Prison Break for why are character's alive and still moving around the world...He had a very detailed incredible story for why these characters become relevant again and why they're back."

Whatever the preparations that are being made as of the moment, still it would be better for us fans to cling on the words of Scofield despite the looming uncertainty of his character.

Preparation will only take you so far. After that you gotta take a few leaps of faith.
