'Modern Family' Season 7 Spoilers: Actor Replacements And New Relationships

The season 7 of "Modern Family" will be on air in just a few more weeks and fans can't wait to see what happens next. Spoilers have revealed that there will be casting changes next season where Joe Pritchett, the toddler son of Gloria and Jay, will be replaced by a kid who's slightly older.

It was reported that the character of Joe will be replaced by a seven year old kid. However, the show executives are yet to release a statement about this and what brought about these changes.

This is not the first time that a child actor is being replaced in "Modern Family". Four years ago, the role of Lily was given to Aubrey Anderson-Emmons. Before Aubrey got the role, Lily was played by twins Ella and Jaden Hiller. The recast for older Lily ended quite well as the role became one of the funniest characters in the show. One more thing to watch out for in the new season is the reported lovelife of Alex Dunphy played by Ariel Winter.

For the sixth year, "Modern Family" was once again nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series. The show has been a favorite of many households for their scripted reality TV approach and their funny handlings of modern family problems.

"Modern Family" is a whole new different genre of sitcom as it portrays different modern situations today's families encounter. Gloria, who's being played by Sofia Vergara, is a Columbian born woman who married Jay, a wealthy American businessman played by Ed O'Neil. Gloria has a child, Manny (Rico Rodriguez), who lives with her and Jay. Jay has kids: Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson), a gay lawyer who married Cameron (Eric Stonestreet); and Claire (Julie Bowen) a homemaker married to Phil (Ty Burrell), a realtor. Claire and Phil's kids, plus Mitchell and Cameron's adopted daughter, and the random appearance of Jay's ex-wife make the show extra funny and interesting.

The different ages of the characters plus the different roles they portray in a family, makes the show all relatable to families across the globe. Over the past seasons, we have watched the kids grow and all the character relationships get established. This is why the coming of the new season brings in more excitement and curiosity as to what the writers have prepared for us this time. Even the main casts of the show took to social media to share their excitement for the new season.

"Modern Family" will be back with new episodes on September 23, Wednesday.
