Avid fans of the popular mobile game "Angry Birds" will have a reason to celebrate this month. Game developer and publisher Rovio has recently released a sequel to its famous video game called the "Angry Birds 2." The reported sequel, as claimed by Rovio, is now available in iOS and Android platforms, and fans can now download the app in Google Play Store and Apple's App Store, a report from Yahoo said on Sunday.
According to a report from Tech 2, "Angry Birds 2" will introduce new characters and gameplay modes such new in-flight moves and lasers. The report emphasized that "Angry Birds 2" has a lot of changes compared to the previous game in terms of strategies and in-game challenges.
The changes that have been recently introduced in the video game are said to be perfectly described by Rovio's campaign slogan, which is "bigger, badder, birdier." The report also said that two teaser videos were released to allow avid fans to enjoy a preview of the video game.
"While retaining the much-loved slingshot format, the visuals and gameplay of 'Angry Birds 2' have been overhauled from the ground up, with multiple stages in each level and spectacular new spells - including blizzards, magic ducks and even hot chili peppers - to wield against the pigs, rock the Destruct-O-Meter and earn even more birds. Fans also can challenge other gamers worldwide and, for the first time, choose their own fowl to fling," Rovio wrote in its press release.
"Design technology has evolved dramatically since the original game launched in 2009. With 'Angry Birds 2' we wanted to bring a level of expressive depth and detail seen previously only in a console game or animated series - and create a new game that kids and adults alike won't be able to put down," Niklas Hed, co-founder of Rovio, said as quoted in the company's website.
Meanwhile, a report from Softpedia, disclosed that as of the moment, "Angry Birds 2" will not be available in Windows Phone or Windows 10.
