The first season of "Empire" was considered to be a success, and now the guest stars just keep on coming. It was confirmed recently that YouTube sensation and pop star Becky G. will join the show as guest.
According to TV Fanatic, Becky G is a 17-year-old singing sensation who started on YouTube. She is known for her hits such as "Can't Get Enough" and "Shower." The singer will join the show's big-time guest stars like Marisa Tomei, Kelly Rowland, Alicia Keys and Chris Rock.
The show is known for featuring high-profile celebrities. Some of the famous stars that appeared in Season 1 were Estelle, Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige, Anthony Hamilton and Patti Labelle.
Tomei was cast as a lesbian billionaire and she also has a recurring role. Fashion & Style reported that Kelly Rowland will appear in one of the flashback episodes as Lucious' (Terrence Howard) mother. It was also revealed that Chris Rock will be one of Lucious' fellow inmates while Alicia Keys' character has not been revealed yet.
Season 2 will reportedly entertain viewers with its surprising plot line and a new set of cast members. The season will begin with some of the hardships for Lucious Lyon and his middle son Jamal Lyon (Jussie Smollett), while his ex-wife Cookie Lyon (Taraji P Henson) and elder son Andre Lyon (Trai Byers) will be better off compared to the father and son duo.
In the 30-second trailer of the show for Season 2, fans saw the family head behind bars in his prison uniform while his ex-wife is back in her position as the head of the entertainment company. It was earlier confirmed that Ludacris will join the cast to set new challenges for Lucious and will play the correctional officer McKnight.
"Empire" Season 2 will return on Fox on September 23.
