Killer of Cecil the Lion Gets the Bashing He Deserves Online

The death of Cecil the Lion as tremendously garnered enough attention to uphold wildlife preservation. The alleged killer, Walter Palmer, a dentist, said that he did not know that he was hunting a local favorite right until the animal was already dead.

According to Business insider, the death of Cecil the Lion has brought tremendous grief among animal lovers in the world. In fact, one famous TV Show host Jimmy Kimmel even made a four-minute dialogue on his show to honor the animal and to criticize the hunting hobby of the said killer.

Apparently, Palmer and two other hunters illegally killed the said lion for they lured Cecil out of its home at the Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe last July 1. Firstly, Palmer fired at Cecil with a bow and arrow. However, the lion was able to survive for another 40 hours before those who hunted it tracked him down and finally killed it with a gun shot. After which, they beheaded the lion and stripped it of his skin.

A source indicated that because of several death threats that Palmer received after he killed the beloved lion, he stated that he had no idea that the lion he was hunting was a famous and beloved one and that he was only able to realize this after its death.

According to The Guardian, the dentist from Minnesota automatically became then, the most hated man in the United States. Even his patients decided to discontinue their affairs with the said doctor. In fact, Kimmel also compared Palmer to another most hated man in the States: Bill Cosby. He asked the killer why there was a need for Palmer to kill and hunt animals that are stronger than him; was it because of his inability to get an erection that he has to satisfy his manhood by killing a wild animal.
