Zayn Malik Paved His Way to Another Direction in Search of the “Real” Zayn

Former One Direction band member Zayn Malik, after leaving his world-renowned group, has began steering his solo career under the guidance of RCA Records. RCA Records houses famous solo artists such as Chris Brown, Shakira and Alicia Keys.

One of his fans tweeted"Zayn got signed to the same record label as Chris Brown, G-Eazy, Shakira, Justin Timberlake, Prince Royce and Alicia Keys JUST IMAGINE"

Many One Direction fans were baffled by the decision of Zayn to leave 1D. One Direction was formed by Simon Cowell during the solo auditions of Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn in the X-Factor. After being formed and finishing third on the said competition, the group of young, talented heartthrobs signed under Syco Label, a record label owned by Simon Cowell.

One Direction, as a group, has produced chart-topping hits, sold-out concerts, and won several prestigious awards.

Their achievements include five Brit Awards, nineteen Teen Choice Awards out of nineteen nominations, four MTV Video Music Awards, and eleven MTV Europe Music Awards, among many others. They were proclaimed 2012's "Top New Artist" by Billboard. According to the Sunday Times Rich List, they had an estimated personal combined wealth of £25 million ($41.2 million), making them the second-wealthiest musicians in the UK under 30 years of age by April 2013. In 2014, Forbes listed them the second-highest earning celebrities under 30, with the group earning an estimated $75 million from June 2013 to June 2014.

In his tweet last July 29, he revealed the real reason why he left One Direction, "(g)uess I never explained why I left, it was for this moment to be given the opportunity to show you who i really am! #realmusic #RCA !!"

The challenge is now on for both Zayn Malik and the remaining One Direction members. Can Zayn compete in the world of solo artists? Can One Direction stay together for long despite missing one of their members? We can only wait and see.
