State Rep Brian Turner Now Also a Commercial Real Estate Agent

According to Citizen Times, NAI Beverly-Hanks officially announced last Tuesday that State Rep. Brian Turner is joining as a commercial real estate broker.  State Rep. Turner Democratic member of the North Carolina House of Representatives, representing District 116. He was first elected to the chamber in 2014.

NAI Beverly-Hanks is the commercial real estate arm of Beverly-Hanks, which is composed of professionals who specialize in the marketing of industrial/commercial and office properties.

Moreover, Turner, a Biltmore Forest Democrat, was an executive in a Woodfin-based Mills Manufacturing in the previous years.  More recently, he was assistant vice chancellor of corporate relations at UNC Asheville. He now works with a family company, Turner & Scott, that has a businesses, specifically retail boutique and hair salon, in Biltmore Village. He said he will continue to be involved with that business.

Furthermore, an announcement from NAI Beverly-Hanks also mentioned that Turner has been involved in commercial real estate as an investor, landlord and tenant.

On the other hand, Turner said that the job at the commercial real estate company will provide the flexibility needed to also keep up with his legislative duties.

Turner is also known to have, highlighted the following in his website:

"We need to be strengthening our schools, community colleges, and universities or we will no longer be competitive in attracting the kind of stable, well-paying jobs this region was built on. While we need to attract new businesses we must not forget to invest in helping locally owned small businesses. These businesses are the foundation of a strong local economy, they are the businesses we all know, the businesses that have been here for generations"

He has also written, "To build a stronger community we need elected officials who understand the winner-take-all mindset that has infected Raleigh is not sustainable, and we need to be willing to work together, regardless of party, to achieve positive solutions to the challenges we face"
