'Fifty Shades Darker' Cast News & Spoilers: Fans Enraged At Henry Cavill For Hinting He Could Play Jack Hyde?

"Fifty Shades Darker" fans are reportedly enraged after they learned that "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" actor Henry Cavill recently "lied" about playing Jack Hyde in the sequel. In the past couple of months, fans have been awaiting news on who will play the role of Christian Grey's (Jamie Dornan) nemesis Jack. One of the actors whose name has been resounding was Cavill.

During a recent interview with E! News, Cavill was asked what his actual involvement in the "Fifty Shades of Grey (FSOG)" sequel was. At that time, the actor said that he cannot divulge a lot of details about his participation in the film. This has led fans to believe that he's already confirmed for the role.

However, during a follow-up interview with USA Today, Cavill admitted that he was merely saying what he thought the fans wanted to hear. The "Man of Steel" actor added that he was previously rumored to play Christian on "FSOG" and even though he already denied it, fans and several publications still assumed that he got the part.

This time around, Cavill decided to "lie" about playing the role of Jack because he believes that even if he denies it, no one will believe him. As a result, fans of both Cavill and the "Fifty Shades" franchise are disappointed over the news.

Now that it's been confirmed that no one has been tapped to play Jack on "Fifty Shades Darker" just yet, fans are speculating on which actor should land the part. Other than this, fans are also awaiting news on who will play the roles of Mrs. Robinson or Elena Lincoln and Leila Williams in the sequel.

"Fifty Shades Darker" has been confirmed for release on Feb. 10, 2017. However, until today, Universal Pictures has not yet revealed who will be directing the movie.
