Life has reportedly not been easy for the estate magnate, who started with only £20 in his pocket to find his luck in London in the 1960s. He began working as a dishwasher before he became a fashion designer and a real estate tycoon.

"I felt that the grass was always greener somewhere else, and I was too young to think twice," Lazari said in an interview. "The buildings were certainly more valuable," according to Forbes.

From his own fashion line, the boy from Cyprus invested on some properties that grew into valuable amount. According to Lazari, his father taught him the value of real estate at a very young age. Today, the possessions he left totals to 2.64 million square feet of real estate properties, valuing to $2 billion.

He owned six estates, most of which are in London's premiere West locations. He also owned the Brunswick shopping center that added a movie theater, 408 apartments and 45 retail shops to his property list. With his hefty net worth of $2.1 billion when he was alive, he was named as one of Forbes' World's Billionaires in 2015.
