Renting A Place? Check The Space, Furniture, Amenities And More!

Thinking about renting? Don't just go for the first unit you see! There are many things to consider to determine whether a rental unit is good enough for its price or not. For example, if the unit is $700 and it is just a small 100 square feet apartment that does not have internet access and cooking facilities, then it is not worth its price. It's not only about the price, it's also about what's included in the payment.

Here are list of things to look for in a good rental unit:

Ventilation

Look for an air conditioner or a functional fan. You wouldn't want to buy those stuff yourself. If they don't provide such appliances, see if the windows provide a good natural ventilation. No one likes the feeling of suffocation due to lack of ventilation.

Internet Access

It's ideal that the place already has an internet access. But if it is not included, just make sure that an internet line can be installed in the establishment. If units are upstairs, ask the land lord if it is possible to set up an internet line in the higher floors.

Bed

See if the bed is sturdy, functional, and clean. You wouldn't wanna sleep on a dirty and weak bed. The bedroom should be the most comfortable part of your home as you spend most of your home time resting in bed.

Security

Ask around about the security within the vicinity. Ideally, you want a place where people are enjoying safety. But realistically, all you would want as far as security is concerned, is a caring landlord, a not-so-isolated location, and probably a near police station.

Finding a place to rent is a long process if you want to get the best deal. It's all worth it if you finally end up moving in a great place.
