Things Everyone Owns At Home (But No One Really Needs)

Have you ever wondered why you have 10 other florist vases yet only use that same exact one your mother gave you as house-warming present?

The truth is, there are things that every household have yet no one really needs. Apartment Therapy suggests these following items you should say goodbye to:

Florist vases

Just a wild guess, every house in America has a cabinet that houses a collection of fake cut glasses that came with floral deliveries long ago. But if you are using one (good for you!) and has ten others just tucked away somewhere, maybe you should consider a trip to Goodwill soon. Don't worry, you would probably get new ones come Mother's Day.

Stacks of old magazines

Who isn't guilty of these? Maybe you loved the cover of Marie Claire's August issue so you decided to keep it; but you also loved the cover of the September, October, November, and every other issue that came after. Are you really going to keep them all piled up in a corner when you know you really wouldn't have the time to read all of them? Just keep a couple of the newest issues and donate the rest (or chuck them in the bin).

Cords for electronics that you don't have anymore

C'mon. Every household has that box of tangled ethernet cords, surge protectors, connector cables, and chargers you really can't tell for which anymore. You keep them just in case you can use them someday, but nowadays, it's becoming an invasion of cordless gadgets and if they have cords, they would most likely be particular to just that item. So finally get to that dreadful box and sort out which ones you think you have use for and take the rest to the recycling.

Craft supplies for projects that you're never going to finish

Maybe you really loved doing cross stitch 6 years ago that you had the complete set of floss colors and your tool box is the envy of every crafts person. But, life happened and you haven't really touched that unfinished stitch portrait you started years ago and you don't really remember the last time you opened that tool box. Let those things go and make space for what you are really doing right now. You can give those cross stitch treasures to another crafter who can appreciate them.

Expired toiletries

Yes, they expire. And if you would only dig into your bathroom cabinets, you would probably find plenty of things that are already starting to smell funny or are beginning to discolor. You probably have gone collecting free hotel toiletries from long before and you already have a tub of them just collecting dust in your bathroom cupboard.
