How To Become A Real Estate Agent

Usually, people enter the realty world from different backgrounds and stages in their lives. But one important question one must face before actually delving into the field of real estate is, "How do you become a real estate agent?"

Now, take note that to become a real estate agent, you have to have a state license and according to Kapre, each state has their own licensing processes and the rules may even have differences. However, there are general requirements to become a real estate agent:

1.       You must be at least 18 or 19 years old
2.       You must be a legal US resident
3.       You must complete your required education (the number of hours required depends on each state)
4.       You must pass your state real estate license exam

Make Sure Real Estate is Right for You

One thing to also consider is you must make sure that a real estate career is right for you. You have to be mindful of the pros and cons of becoming a real estate agent as well. Ask local real estate agents about what their day-to-day work is like. Ask them about real estate as a long-term career. If you think you can commit a 100%, then go on to the next step.
