World's Greatest Architect Frank Lloyd Wright's Top 10 Site Designs Included In Nominations for UNESCO

Regarded as one of the World's greatest Architects of all time and Interior Designer, Frank Lloyd Wright has been known for timeless works that are inspired by the philosophy 'organic architecture' and a one of the key-players in Modern Architecture. His famous works of astounding buildings, sceneries, and structures are now nominated as World Heritage Sites to be included in the UNESCO list. The said buildings have an "outstanding universal value" as posted in the article of Smithsonianmag.

As explained by conservancy president Richard Longstreth from the Architectural Digest, "This is one of the first [nominations] that deals with modern architecture in the 20th century, and it might encourage some others." And "These buildings must have intrinsic merits, irrespective of the architect. Here, it's not just that they were designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, but rather Wright's role as exemplified in redefining the nature of architecture."

Among the 10 site designs that are regarded for the UNESCO list for the nomination in the field of Modern Architecture are the Fallingwater in Pennsylvania which was regarded by TIME as Wright's 'most beautiful job' and is a National Historical Landmark since 1966. Frederick C. Robie House in Chicago which is located at the heart the University of Chicago campus. Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York; Taliesin in Wisconsin where many of Wright's work were conceived; Prairie styled Unity Temple in Oak Park in Illinois; Herbert and Katherine Jacobs House in Madison; Taliesin West in Arizona; Price Tower in Oklahoma and Marin County Civic Center in California. The list was provided by the US Department of State in their media note last January 30, 2015.

In a press release from the article of Smithsonianmag, the architect's foundation said "They are the most iconic, fully realized and innovative of more than 400 existing works by Frank Lloyd Wright" and  "Each is a masterwork and together they show varied illustrations of 'organic architecture' in their abstraction of form, use of new technologies and masterful integration of space, materials and site."

Aside from Wright, there were also Architects and designers before that are noted in UNESCO's list like the Bauhaus School in Germany, Tel Aviv for his White City, and Sydney Opera House by Jørn Utzon.
