The cast of "Grey's Anatomy" has began filming for the upcoming 12th season this week. According to Inquisitr, some of the cast members shared photos while on the set. Additionally, on Wednesday, the cast members had their first table read for the season premiere episode.
Meanwhile, cast member Camilla Luddington recently spoke with TV Line to dish on her character Jo and her relationship with Alex (Justin Chambers).
"I'm nervous because Jo and Alex have had three seasons of being pretty good like, which is really unusual on 'Grey's.' They've had issues, but they've gotten over them. So, that makes me think that they moved in together I just don't trust that things are going to continue to go well," she said.
In other news, fans are also anticipating how "Grey's Anatomy" will continue to adapt following Derek Shepherd's (Patrick Dempsey) death. During a recent interview with Design N Trend, Caterina Scorsone, who plays the role of Derek's sister Amelia, said, "I think Derek, ultimately, he's her brother, but he also became her father figure."
The actress also explained how she thinks Amelia's life will continue to change now that Derek is no longer around.
"I think they were both here when their father was murdered. They were the only ones there, so he's the only one there. He's the only one in the world who knows all of the trauma she's been through with that. I think he became a replacement father figure to her to a certain degree. It's almost like she lost a father figure twice," she explained.
With this, Scorsone acknowledged that life for Amelia will become utterly difficult.
Also in other news, new cast member Martin Henderson has been tapped to star in "Grey's Anatomy" as the series' newest doctor. There are rumors that he will be one replacing Dempsey on the show.
"Grey's Anatomy" will premiere on ABC this coming September 24 at 8 p.m. ET.
