Apparently, Beverly Hills and Bel Air neighborhoods, including Aniston's, aren't happy with the giga projects. They claim that the construction "creates noise in the area, invading their privacy and endangering their homes," according to Daily Mail. The residents even put up a Bel Air Homeowners Alliance to air the side of the homeowners and to stop the gigantic project.

Aniston was apparently seen spending a lot of time in the city hall to put a stop to the development of the project. "The very idea that a building of 90,000 square feet can be called a home seems at the least a significant distortion of building code," Aniston stated, according to ABC.

According to the "We're the Millers" actress who spearheads the protest, the construction is disrupting the lives of her neighbors. The excavation also invites safety and health risks, Mirror reports.

Aniston owns a $21-million Bel Air mansion, which she shares with her fiancé Justin Theroux. Her home covers 8,500 square feet that is roughly a tenth of the size of the ongoing project.

The main giga-mansion that has caught the attention of the homeowners is Nile Niami's property. Niami is a rich actor and producer turned property developer, and he is currently putting up the 90,000-square-foot mansion that sparked the protests. For his home construction alone, there is reportedly a need for 200 construction trucks going in the area every day.

Apparently, Niami is planning to build a mansion with a 30-car garage, five swimming pools, and 48-seater iMax cinema. Reports revealed that most of the owners in Bel Air and Beverly Hills are foreigners. Some experts believe that the development started after TV producer Aaron Spelling sold his 56,000-square-foot home for $85million in 2011.

Aniston is continuously fighting for her and her neighbor's rights by appealing to city officials. Until now, there is no confirmation yet on the project or how it will be handled.
