'Fifty Shades Darker' Movie News & Spoilers: Dakota Johnson Teases Filming Dates

"Fifty Shades Darker" star Dakota Johnson recently revealed an exciting detail about the upcoming "Fifty Shades of Grey" sequel. During a recent interview with Glamour Madrid's El Pais, Johnson hinted that the filming for "Fifty Shades Darker" will begin in January 2016. Although she failed to divulge more details about the film, fans were more than happy to know that the movie will really push through despite having an incomplete cast.

Also during the same interview, Johnson dished on why she thinks the BDSM film "Fifty Shades of Grey" became a success despite the criticisms it received. "In the strange mixture of secret thing and also revealed to the people you like to see something that's normally very private, and the fact that they are characters that everyone can identify," she said.

Johnson also said that the success of "Fifty Shades of Grey" turned her into an overnight sensation. There were times when the success was just too much for her, but she's still grateful for the opportunity to have starred in the film.

"With the utmost dignity that I can, it's very strange. Suddenly your life changes and people who do not know you feel you belong. But I also understand that I have to be grateful," she said.

Meanwhile, "Fifty Shades Darker" has been confirmed for release in Feb. 10, 2017. However, as of late, three new characters have not yet been cast. There are rumors that the role of Jack Hyde or Christian Grey's (Jamie Dornan) nemesis might be given to "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" star Henry Cavill, Melty reported.

Additionally, the role of Leila Williams, or Christian's former submissive, is rumored to be given to supermodel Cara Delevingne. The role of Mrs. Robinson is rumored to be given to award-winning actress Charlize Theron. However, as of late, nothing has been confirmed yet by Universal Pictures or "FSOG" author E.L. James.
