Apple iPad Pro Release Date & News: Samsung & Sharp To Supply Displays For 12.9-Inch Device?

A recent report revealed that tech giant Apple's rumored next-generation iPad will sport a bigger display. The rumored iPad, which according to industry commentators will be called iPad Pro, will have Sharp and Samsung as supplier of the 12.9-inch display, Techtimes reported on Monday.

Techtimes said that Apple has decided to choose Sharp as the main supplier for the iPad Pro display while Samsung will be the second supplier in case there is a glitch in the production. It indicated that Sharp has actually provided a small batch of test displays last June. The test displays have reportedly passed the product standards of Apple.

As this developed, Next Digit reports that the rumored 12.9-inch iPad Pro will sport a 2732x2048 resolution with PPI of 264. Accordingly, the display panels from Sharp will be shipped in September. The rumored iPad Pro will be powered by a hyrbid of iOS and OS X El Capitan.

The iPad Pro will also reportedly feature Apple's A9 chipset. A Type C USB port will likely be in the device as a new stylus with Force Touch technology similar to the Apple Watch will be included. The new Apple iPad Pro will also have an improved multitasking feature, which will make it more innovative and unique.

Meanwhile, Techworm reported that the Apple's iPad Pro will have a multi-user log-in support, which, according to the company, will allow users to compile a unique set of apps and data similar to Windows-based PCs. For the time being, Apple has not yet released an official statement regarding the rumored iPad Pro. Suffice to say for now, Apple is gearing up for something big for its new iPad product line.
