ABC 'Agent Carter' Season 2 Premiere Release Date & Spoilers: Jarvis And Howard Stark Return, New Villains Arise

One of Marvel's period series, "Agent Carter," will be back for Season 2 in ABC, and its cast and showrunners reveal what fans can expect from the second season. According to Vine Report, Hayley Atwell, who plays Peggy Carter, revealed in a recent interview that Jarvis (James D'Arcy) and Howard (Dominic Cooper) is returning for Season 2.

Executive producer Tara Butters also revealed in her interviews that they plan to tell a new story. She also confirmed that it will not continue the Winter Soldier theme that was teased at the end of Season 1. Executive producer Michelle Fazekas also added that the show will introduce new villains in the upcoming Season 2.

In her recent interview with Den of Geek, Atwell talked about her role in the show and also the possibility of finding a love interest while Captain America is still frozen in ice. She also added that the showrunners plan to continue the successful theme of bringing more strong female characters to the story. Along with Jarvis and Howard Stark, it is expected that Enver Gjokaj (Agent Daniel Sousa) will officially be coming back.

It was also earlier reported that the studio already closed deals with Chad Michael Murray (Agent Jack Thompson), Bridget Regan (Dottie Underwood) and Lyndsy Fonseca (Angie Martinelli), so it seems like the cast will be back together for Season 2.

Previous reports revealed that the setting of "Agent Carter" Season 2 will be 1940s Los Angeles. The potential villains for season 2 include Baron Zemo, who is a supervillain in the comic book with a red hood on his face. He reportedly perpetrated the mass murder of German civilians when he was still working as a Nazi scientist.

As of writing, there is still no official release date yet for the show, but it is expected to return during the mid-season break for "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Season 3.
