NBA Star Injured Because Of Apple's iPhone 6

We heard news that phones blew up occasionally and accidentally injures sometimes, but a phone causing an injury to a professional basketball player is kind of absurd. But, this is so true, according to CNet, San Antonio Spurs' center Matt Boner believe that his iPhone 6 may have caused his elbow injury. In case you are unfamiliar with Bonner, he is an 11 year NBA veteran center who last played with the San Antonio Spurs. He is also known to be a big man who can hit the three, but last season his percentage dropped and he is pointing his finger to an injury off his non-shooting hand (Tennis elbow) and he believed that the injury is caused by his iPhone.

Quoting the big guy during an interview he said, "Everybody is going to find this hilarious, but here's my theory on how I got it. When the new iPhone came out it was way bigger than the last one, and I think because I got that new phone it was a strain to use it, you have to stretch further to hit the buttons, and I honestly think that's how I ended up developing it."

He also said that he was raised to never make excuses and he hates excuses but he went through it in about two and a half months stretch where he had a bad case of the injury. He also acknowledges the fact that he was in pain when shooting and almost made him cringe when shooting or even catching the ball.

BleacherReport supported CNet's article on Bonner's hilarious claim. The online sports authority reported that because of the injury, the Red Mamba, has received a lesser playing time this season compared to what he had during San Antonio's championship year where he made impact baskets throughout their championship year.

Up to this day, Apple has not commented on Bonner's claim.
