Last June 17, Alec and Hilaria Baldwin welcomed Rafael Thomas Baldwin, their new baby boy, as reported by ET.
In her Instagram account Hilaria Baldwin posted a picture of the baby's hand holding her hand with the caption, "We are happy to announce the birth of Rafael Thomas Baldwin".
In an article from People, Alec Baldwin revealed that things had not exactly gone according to plan. He added, "We come in [to the city] for Hilaria to go to the doctor ... everything's fine. She wakes up Tuesday - 1:30 in the morning, not feeling good, then 2:30 in the morning feeling really lousy. We go to the doctor at 9:30 a.m., he says, 'Come back at 2 and I'll tell you if it's real.' We go back at 2 p.m. and they admitted her."
Another article from US Weekly revealed for the first time pictures of Rafael together with his family in an exclusive newborn photo shoot taken by Eroula Dimitriou at the couple's NYC home.
In the article, Hilaria also shared that Alec still can't believe that he has a son. He does other things instead of changing the diaper.
The Daily Mail Online also published the latest pictures of the family in its latest edition. The article described it as "scenes of happiness and bliss, the arrival of baby Rafael was not without its complications; Hilaria revealed earlier this month that her son had been born 'a little early', expressing her gratitude that, despite arriving earlier than expected, the newborn was completely healthy, weighing in at an impressive 7lbs.
The article added that Hilaria was worried about Carmen, their first born child. She said, "I was a nervous second time mom because Carmen is in such a good place, and I wasn't sure how she was going to react."
She added, "Before the baby was born, I bought Carmen some dolls and we named them Rafael. We dressed them and changed their diapers. Carmen would kiss my stomach and say 'Rafa! Rafa!' She understood the things we were saying, but the concept of a baby coming out of my stomach is hard for someone her age to understand. Carmen is the best big sister. She wants to kiss him, hold him, play with him and sing to him."
Hilaria also described Baby Rafael. She said, "Rafael is such a cute little kid. He and Carmen look alike. He has Alec's nose. They both have my lips and chin. One of his ears is identical to Alec's ear."
She also added that Rafael is different from Carmen. She added, "'He's very different from Carmen. Before Carmen was born, I bought the cutest little girl clothes, but she hated being naked so much that I never wanted her to wear any of it! Rafael is very calm. I can change him as many times as I want. He's a little poser - he puts his hands behind his head and stretches out. Carmen has a fiery personality and this little guy is like, "I'll do whatever you want me to do, Mom!"'
