Kanye Glastonbury Headline: People React To Kanye's Declaration Labeling Himself as the 'Biggest Rockstar in the Planet' During Glastonbury Music Festival

When Kanye West declared that he was "the biggest rockstar on the planet" during his Glastonbury Music Festival performance, people around the world shared their distaste for the rapper's declaration via Twitter.

Just this month, the Glastonbury Music Festival was packed with a full-house audience. During which, Kanye West performed four of his songs while the crowd went wild. According to The Fader, when West was performing the song "Gold Digger", he voiced out: "you are now watching the greatest living rock star on the planet!" That statement gained a lot of attention, not the good kind.

West was also labeled as someone who was "egotistical" and that he was very "self-indulgent." In fact, when he was performing, he seemed very confident about how he saw himself as the greatest living rock star on the planet. However, people clearly objected to this when several posts on Twitter indicated that, na ah! You are not the greatest living rockstar on the planet!

According to Buzz Feed, numerous people posted several photos of rockstars that they think are more deserving of the title. In fact, one person even indicated that Dave Grohl, who had to back out during the festival due to an injury, deserve the title. Eddie Reader tweeted: "You are watching the greatest living rock star on the planet!!! Wow Kanye... You never met ma auntie Marion." Dixi G also tweeted: "still can't believe I got to see the 'greatest rock star in the world' on TV! And not an instrument in sight!" Clearly, a lot of people do not agree with West there.

Despite the wild crowd that Kanye West was able to impress during the Glastonbury Music Festival last week, his self-proclaimed statement did not settle well with a lot of people as seen through Twitter posts. Do you think that he is the greatest living rock star to date? Do you even agree to that statement? Post your comments below.
