Katy Perry Battles it Out with Nuns over $15 million Convent

Katy Perry has been acclaimed by Forbes as the top earning female pop star in this generation. Recently, she has had her eyes on purchasing a property owned by nuns valued at $15.5 million. However, the nuns refused to sell to her and awarded the sale to a restaurateur named Dana Hollister. Will she win the feud and take the property as her home?

One of the best singers of all time is Katy Perry. Since her music career blossomed, she has been awarded the title for the top-grossing and richest female pop star this year. The "Roar" singer, equipped with the money to buy properties worth millions, have desired to turn a convent into her personal home. According to CNN, the said property is named as the Los Feliz Villa that was utilized by the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary as a convent. When the property was up for sale, Perry wanted to acquire it. However, the nuns already awarded the sale to another buyer, a restaurateur named Dana Hollister. The said property was valued at a whopping $15.5 million.

The Los Angeles Archdiocese, especially Archbishop Jose Gomez, does not agree with the nuns decision at selling the property to the restaurateur. Instead, they wish the sale to be awarded to Perry for $14.5 million.

Since then, Perry and the nuns have been battling it out for her to get her hands on the property. However, the restaurateur has already moved in to the property. Even the locals rallied over the decision fearing that the said restaurateur would turn the property into a boutique hotel when Perry only want to use it as a residential home. Will Perry ever get a chance to take it for herself?

According to Christian Post, even if the archdiocese is in favor of Perry, a Tennessee pastor recently aired out his ideas about the popstar. During his mass, he indicated that Perry's "E.T." song conveys a surrender or sound like she was taunting the devil to get her. Given that, which of the spiritual advisors truly favor Perry then? Should they award the sale to her despite the pastor calling her a "worshiper of the devil"?

Reports indicate that the archdiocese already sued the restaurateur, Dana Hollister, and is praying that the sale of Los Feliz Villa to her would be declared void. Furthermore, Perry was also allowed by the courts to visit the property accompanied by her architect. Do you think she'll get the property to herself? Post your comments below.
