Celebrity Homes for Sale: Radio Show Host Dennis Miller Suffers $3.5M Loss in Oceanside Mansion

Stand-up comedian Dennis Miller has finally sold his Santa Barbara, California beach home for $19 million. It is reportedly $3.5 million lower than his original asking price of $22.5 million.

According to Zillow, the property was first listed on the market in December last year. The mansion measures 6,063 square feet, and its beachside location provides wonderful Pacific Ocean and mountain views. The beachfront area measures a total of 63 feet. Regarding its location, Dina Landi of Riskin Associates who listed the property said, "Besides it being right on the sand, the Padaro location is the crème de la crème of beach locations for this area."

The Wall Street Journal reports that Miller's wife, Carolyn Espley-Miller, an interior designer and blogger, previously said in an email that they made renovations in the house and implemented a lighter color scheme to "reflect the jaw-dropping sunsets" in the area.

In a previous interview with House Beautiful, Espley-Miller also gushed about the scenic views from the property. "We joke that no work ever gets done, because we're either staring at the view or talking on the phone about how beautiful the view is. I had such a strong vision of a serene, whitewashed house on the sea. So I just gave the whole place a big dollop of white, from floors to ceiling."

The property has five bedrooms and five and a half bathrooms. It also features Scandinavian antiques, which is part of the renovations made to the house. However, the furnishings were not reportedly included in the listing price.

Miller and his wife purchased the home back in 2011. Last year, Espley-Miller said that they were selling the home because they're ready to start a new chapter of their lives as their children are now all grown up.

Miller is known as a stand-up comedian, radio show host and actor. He has appeared on "Saturday Night Live" and "House of Cards."
